Our clinic provides many services, ranging from routine to advance procedures. We also offer Additional Services which are listed below.
If you need any further information then please do contact us.
Radiology (X-Ray)
When we need to figure out what’s is wrong with your pet, we routinely use x-rays to help identify the cause of the problem, rule out the possible problem, or provide a list of possible causes. We may also use x-rays during a wellness exam to diagnose potential problems before they become serious.
X-rays provide valuable information about a pet’s bones, gastrointestinal tract (stomach, intestine, colon), respiratory tract (lungs), heart, and genitourinary system (bladder, prostate). We use radiology alone or in conjunction with other diagnostic tools. Interpretation of radiographs requires great skill on the part of the veterinarian.
We offer digital radiology (x-rays that are captured digitally rather than on film). This technology allows us to provide you with a quicker diagnosis for your pet. Plus, it uses less radiation than traditional x-rays.
If you have any questions about our radiology service or what to expect during your pet’s procedure, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Ultrasound for Pregnancy Diagnosis
Ultrasound is a useful and accurate means of diagnosing pregnancy in dogs and cats. It is not costly, takes only minutes and is not harmful to the unborn puppies or kittens.
Pregnancies can usually be easily detected at 18-20 days post-breeding, although for greater accuracy clients may want to wait until 28 days post-breeding. Heartbeats are usually visible. Ultrasound is not always accurate for determining the number of puppy or kittens, although an estimate can usually be made.
Sometimes reproductive problems such as uterine infection (pyometra) or aborted fetuses are detected during pregnancy ultrasounds. These problems can then be discussed and treated appropriately.
If you’re wondering if your pet is pregnant, want to determine an estimate of litter size or simply want a peek at your new babies, an ultrasound can be booked.
